  45. I didn't know it was different before because I was using
  46. dvips and xdvi, without kpathsea.
  47. texmf.cnf is well found in $TEXMF/web2c.
  48. The problem seems to be that currently both
  49. /usr/local/lib/texmf/fonts/vf
  50. and
  51. /usr/local/lib/tex/fonts/vf
  52. exist, and that in this case, only the latter is taken into
  53. account.
  54. This is likely to vanish when /usr/local/lib/tex/fonts/vf will be
  55. removed here, but I would like to be sure without doing something
  56. that makes the old tree unusable.
